Mount Vernon Cancer Centre proposals: Share your views

NCL Wide

As you may be aware, NHS England is consulting on proposals to relocate the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (MVCC) to a purpose-built facility beside Watford General Hospital, with University College London Hospital identified as the preferred provider.

Your insight as a healthcare professional is essential to help plan future cancer services and make the right changes to Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.

Clinicians and healthcare professionals are invited to share their views by completing the online questionnaire.

If you would like to attend one of the targeted workshops exploring the proposed changes and what they could mean for the whole patient pathway, but are unable to make the times offered, email mvcc@olovus.co.uk to register your interest in a conversation and the team will try and find a time to suit you.

The purpose of these workshops is to understand, from your professional perspective, how the proposals could affect referral patterns, diagnostics, treatment, follow-up, supportive care, urgent pathways, end-of-life care, workforce, and system interdependencies across your part of the pathway.

Feedback from these sessions will directly inform the post-consultation decision-making business case, helping to ensure that proposals are shaped by those delivering care on the ground. If you want the future model to work for your patients and your teams, this is your opportunity to influence it.

Workshop dates and times:

  • Monday 16 March 12-1pm
  • Monday 9 March 14.30-3.30pm

Register using the online form.

To read more about the proposals, visit the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre website

The consultation will close on Sunday 29 March.
