Mental health trust merger: Impact on Electronic Patient Record and London Care Record

NCL Wide

On Friday 1 November 2024, the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health (BEH MH) Trust and Camden and Islington Foundation Trust (C&I FT) will merge to form North London Foundation Trust (NLFT).

As part of this transition, NLFT will implement a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, replacing the existing BEH and C&I EPR systems. The changeover to the new EPR will begin on Monday 28 October 2024 at 5 pm.

It is important to note that during this period, there will be no flow of mental health data to the London Care Record (LCR) from Monday 28 October 2024 to Monday 4 November 2024.

The Digital Team acknowledges the importance of the last 15 entries/90 days of data from the mental health trusts in caring for your patients. Therefore, all GPs are advised to revert to previous workflows for accessing mental health data during this time.

If you have any questions or concerns about patient records, contact the NLFT switchboard to be directed to the service teams that can assist you.

The NCL ICB Digital Team will continue to provide updates to partners across NCL as soon as more information is available. Contact the team with any questions.

This item was updated on 24 October 2024 to reflect the change in date and time for the North London Foundation Trust EPR system merge.
