Enfield InHealth X-ray service closes to new referrals 1 February

NCL Wide

From 1 February 2025, the X-ray service run by InHealth at Lincoln Road GP Practice in Enfield will no longer accept new patient referrals as it prepares to wind down before closing permanently. All existing and new referrals for X-ray appointments up to and including 31 January 2025 will be unaffected and these patients will be allocated appointments in the usual way.

NCL’s Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) agreed to the closure of this service as it is only able to provide an infrequent, limited service to patients that must be booked by referrers in advance. Developments in other local diagnostics services in north central London means that patients who need an X-ray now have much more choice and flexibility at other local X-ray sites including Wood Green Community Diagnostic Centre which has a walk-in, evening and weekend X-ray appointments, and has good capacity (find the form and how to refer to Imaging: Wood Green CDC). Chase Farm Hospital and the North Middlesex University Hospital also have X-ray provision.

Therefore, any referrals made on or after 1 February 2025 will be rejected and sent back to the referrer to rebook at another site. Referrals made on or before 31 January 2025 will be processed and a patient X-ray appointment made.
