TWOC (Trial Without Catheter) & Routine Catheter Changing Service

Barnet

The CLCH Trial Without Catheter (TWOC) and Routine Catheter Changing Service in Barnet provides clinics for those who are non-housebound and for those living in care and residential homes. 

This nurse-led service provides a range of catheter services including TWOC, planned catheter changes for long-term catheters and some SoS support for troubleshooting on the day for adults aged 18 and above.

  • TWOC and Catheter Clinic days: Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm (excluding weekends and bank holidays)
  • SoS and trouble shooting for urinary catheters: Monday to Saturday, 8am-4pm

Referrals will be sent back to the refer on discharge from this service.


Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • Patients aged 18 and over
  • Living or registered with a GP in Barnet
  • Not housebound
  • No red flags
  • Must have a urinary catheter

Exclusions

  • Patients under 18
  • Not registered with a GP in Barnet
  • Housebound
  • Red flags (post complex urological surgery)
  • No urinary catheter
