Stroke Recovery Service

The Stroke Recovery Service provides high-quality navigation, information, practical advice and emotional support following a stroke.
Support is provided to stroke survivors, carers or family members, both at home and in the wider community.
This service offers:
- a personalised review of stroke needs
- someone to talk to who understands
- coordinated support throughout your stroke journey
- home visits
- leaflets, fact sheets and information about hardship grants and benefits
- assistance with accessing local leisure and social activities
- support for carers, and links to other organisations and networks.
Online resources
My Stroke Guide is a self-management tool to support people who have been affected by stroke. It features:
- videos of stroke survivors offering advice from their experiences
- information guides and games
- interactive message boards
- expert recommendations from stroke therapists.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
- stroke survivors, carers, or family members living in Haringey or Islington
- or registered with an Haringey or Islington GP
