Multiple Sclerosis UTI Support

NCL Wide

This page provides basic information about a service suitable for self referral. Direct patients to the service provider using the details below.

Multiple Sclerosis UTI Support enables people with MS to get quick and easy, free, 24/7 access to clinicians via the NHS 111.

The early detection of UTIs reduces visits to busy GP surgeries and unnecessary hospital attendances, as well as improving the care pathway for the people living with MS. If a patient is feeling unwell, they should call 111. If the patient is expected to have a UTI, the 111 team can arrange for a urine test.

The 111 team will link the patient to the appropriate provider; for Barnet this is CLCH via the urgent care team (within two hours).
