Maple is an NHS specialist therapeutic service for people living in Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Camden or Islington who are experiencing trauma symptoms in relation to the pregnancy-related experience, birth of a baby, or loss of a baby.

The team consists of dedicated psychologists and a peer support worker and offers support to people whose difficulties are having a moderate to severe impact on their mental health and/or those whose care cannot be managed in primary care services.

The service:

  • supports people experiencing fear, trauma or distress related to fertility, pregnancy, birth or perinatal loss
  • offers talking therapy to people who are experiencing emotional distress or symptoms of trauma before and during pregnancy, after birth, or after a loss
  • works with women and birthing people, in addition to fathers and partners.
