Complex Hypertension Clinic at Royal Free Hospital for young or resistant hypertensive patients.

The Thursday morning clinic provides a co-ordinated diagnostic service for patients who have difficulty managing hypertension, with investigations before clinic review to minimise hospital visits.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • patients up to 40 years of age with hypertension
  • patients resistant to three anti-hypertensive agents at maximum tolerated doses
  • patients who require investigation of secondary hypertension
  • patient compliance with anti-hypertensive therapy

The recommended referral method is via managed referrals (see Downloads for guide on how to refer). Complete the Camden Hypertension Service Referral Proforma (New).
