Barnet Council Stop Smoking is a 12 week support programme consisting of weekly sessions, either by telephone or face to face.

Patients will work with a stop smoking advisor who will offer behavioural therapy looking at coping strategies, triggers of smoking, motivation and distraction techniques. They will also discuss Nicotine replacement therapy products and other stop smoking medications which can be obtained through a prescription.

A quit date will be set with weekly advice, support and Carbon monoxide readings taken. 


Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • aged 12 years or older
  • live, study or work in Barnet
  • registered with a Barnet GP

Exclusions

  • under 12 years old
