Barnardo's Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) Service provides short-term individual counselling and therapy to the children and young people of Islington experiencing difficulties with their social, emotional and mental health.

The service offers support with:

  • bullying and peer pressure
  • depression, anxiety and low confidence
  • mild-to-moderate self-harm
  • anger management
  • exam pressures
  • eating issues
  • bereavement.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • aged 8-18 (or 8-25 for those with special educational needs)
  • registered with an Islington GP/lives in Islington/attends school in Islington.
