Leg Ulcer Ambulatory Clinic

Clinic for ambulatory patients with leg ulcers.


Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • patients registered with a Haringey GP and able to make their own way to the clinic
  • patients whose leg ulcers have not shown signs of healing under your care for at least four weeks
  • it is expected for the ulcers to have received appropriate treatment (such as use of either silver standard or gold standard) prior to referring.

Exclusions

  • housebound patients (refer to District Nurses)
  • patients whose legs do not have wounds (e.g. those with swelling and/or dermatological problems) should be referred to a dermatologist
  • referrals that seek for doppler ankle brachial pressure index (ABPI) only (without leg ulcers).
