Just over six months into her role as Chief Executive of Whittington Health, Selina Douglas has written to GPs and primary care colleagues in Haringey, Islington and across north central London. 

In the message, she introduces herself and reaches out to GPs as partners in local care. She recognises the pressure primary care is under, reflects on the value of joint working, and points to examples of this already happening in Haringey and Islington. She is also open about the Trust’s financial challenge, acknowledges that communication has not always been good enough, and signals a stronger, more collaborative relationship ahead.
