An urgent field safety notice concerning FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors in the UK has been published.

Abbott has recently identified that certain FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors may provide incorrect low glucose readings.

General practice and community pharmacies are requested to proactively contact any patients you have prescribed/dispensed FreeStyle Libre 3 and/or FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus to inform them of the issue. They are required to check via the Freestylecheck website if their sensor is impacted and request a replacement.
