NCL ICB has been made aware of recent direct contact by digital weight management provider Oviva to general practices, offering access to Tier 3 weight management services under Right to Choose. Oviva is the provider for the NCL Type 2 Diabetes Remission Service (formerly Low Cal Diet), but the ICB has not commissioned Oviva to provide Tier 3 services.
 
NCL ICB has been in touch with NHS England to gain clarification on commissioning and financial questions that arise from this to ensure that any information being shared is accurate. Further details have been received, which allows the conduct of a due diligence process for the Oviva service to ensure it meets the requirements of NCL ICB and our patients.

NCL ICB will publish a further update as soon as this process is complete.
