Support healthier weight management for children and young people

Barnet

GP practices, primary care networks, and healthcare professionals across Barnet are encouraged to raise awareness of the Gro Health Barnet tier 2 weight management service, a free healthy lifestyle and weight management programme for children and young people aged 12 to 19 years (up to 25 years for those with SEND).

Commissioned by Barnet Council, the service provides personalised support through one-to-one health coaching, community-based group sessions and the Gro Health digital platform. Young people receive practical advice on healthy eating, physical activity, sleep and emotional wellbeing, with support available both in person and remotely.

The service is available to children and young people who live in Barnet, are registered with a Barnet GP, or attend a Barnet school or college. There is no BMI eligibility criteria.

Healthcare professionals can refer eligible patients via Gro Health Barnet. For further information or queries, contact: Steven Laing or Marianne Hennessey at Gro Health.
