Suicide prevention e-learning: Extra spaces released

NCL Wide

Following a successful first wave of training, NCL Integrated Care System is releasing 70 more Suicide Awareness and Response e-learning spaces for clinical primary care staff.

The training is designed to equip clinical primary care staff with the knowledge and tools to navigate a conversation about suicidal thoughts. The training and use of SAFETool™ are fully compliant with recent NHS Staying safe from suicide guidance. Training can be completed at your own pace in approximately three and a half hours.

In the first wave of training:

  • 97% of staff felt more confident to assess a person in distress or with suicidal thoughts
  • 100% knew more about how to coproduce a Supported Safety Plan using SAFETool

"I found the course very helpful […] feeling empowered to provide support whilst recognising when and where to refer patients on for further support/signposting as required." – Islington Advanced Clinical Practitioner

You will receive a certificate for completion, evidencing further professional development. Once you have completed the training, you are also invited to attend an optional workshop to ask any further questions.

Complete the online form to enrol for the training.
