Measles polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing is available at the Royal Free London through TQuest.

Important information for clinicians

• Results will be communicated only via the Health Services Laboratories keystone system.
• GPs should continue to review and act on results immediately, including outside normal hours for these urgent results.
• Measles remains a notifiable disease.
• Clinicians must notify the UK Health Security Agency immediately if patients present with symptoms suggestive of measles.
• Notification should not be delayed while awaiting laboratory test results.
