The Health Service Laboratories (HSL) has received an increasing number of faecal calprotectin samples in incorrect containers.

Ensure the correct collection tube is used for both faecal calprotectin and quantitative faecal immunochemical testing (QFIT). The same sample collection device/tube can be used for both tests, QFIT and Faecal calprotectin; use the OC-Auto sampling bottle.

Samples received in the incorrect container will be rejected.
