The Integrated Care Board is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from GP practices wishing to participate in the Asylum Seeker (AS) Locally Commissioned Service (LCS) across Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.
The AS LCS is designed to support the delivery of enhanced healthcare for people seeking asylum who are placed in contingency accommodation, sometimes referred to as initial accommodation centres within north central London. As of April 2026, contingency hotels are located in Barnet and Camden. Participation in the service is voluntary and not mandatory.
The service supports timely access to healthcare for people seeking asylum before GP registration, improves outcomes through integrated health and social care, and reduces barriers for a population with complex and unmet needs.
The service was established in 2021 and the specification was reviewed in 2025-26 with clinical, operational and LMC input, alongside GP survey feedback. This informed a revised specification aligned with NHS England funding and national frameworks, ensuring the service remains sustainable and effective within the current system.
Submitting an Expression of Interest
Practices wishing to participate should review the updated Asylum Seeker Locally Commissioned Service specification and FAQs, available on the enhanced service page below. The completed Expression of Interest form should be submited to nclicb.nclprimarycare@nhs.net by Wednesday 20 May 2026.
