Patients who are being referred to Whittington Health NHS Trust for community podiatry may now be contacted by text message to ask for them to upload a photo of their foot. Please let your patients know.

This will assist with triage and the type of appointment needed (urgent or other). 

Photos are stored securely on the patient's clinical record. No specialist equipment is required, and patients can take the photo with their phone. 

Whittington Health is trialling this for six months.

Please note: not all patients will be requested to submit a photo and the request may come sometime after the referral has been made. This affects Haringey and Islington only.
