NMUH updates instrument for serum and urine osmolality testing

Haringey

North Middlesex University Hospital has changed the testing instrument for serum and urine osmolality tests.

From Wednesday 14 January, the OsmoPRO MAX device will replace the Osmo 1.

While the testing process remains unchanged, the minimum sample volume is now 190 microlitres. Please consider this when requesting osmolality and other biochemistry tests, where sample volumes may be limited.

For further details, please refer to the Health Services Laboratories communication.

Contact Girish Ravindra, head of department, biochemistry or Dr Ekitumi Ofagbor, consultant chemical pathologist, with any questions or concerns.
