Programme update: NCL Primary Care Access and Recovery Plan

NCL Wide

With the delivery of Primary Care Access and Recovery Plan (PCARP) well underway, Islington GP federation shares a status update on the programme.

The main goal of PCARP is to work closely with the ICB and with other system partners to support GP practices in NCL to:

  • successfully make the transition to the modern general practice operating model as described in the access recovery plan by March 2025
  • improve patient experience when accessing general practice, as measured by the national GP patient survey.

The first step of the programme was to speak to practices and understand their improvement goals and what support they need to achieve them. Through these meetings, a support offer can be designed that meets the needs of the practice.

These visits will continue over the next few months. If you have been invited to book a practice visit but have not done so already, please contact igpf.ncl-pcarp@nhs.net. This offer is also open to practices who feel they would benefit from a conversation with our change management team.

Further information including what next can be found in the communication download.
