Move Beyond Cancer: Physical activity sessions for local communities

Barnet

Move Beyond Cancer is a community initiative launched by CB Plus supporting Somali, Iranian, and Eastern European communities in Barnet who are living with or have been impacted by cancer.

Through peer support, tailored physical activity, and information sharing, participants can feel empowered, supported, and connected.

The programme aims to:

  • provide a safe space to meet others impacted by cancer
  • share stories and advice about the benefits of staying active during and after treatment
  • encourage physical activity through exercise sessions and walk-and-talk groups
  • reduce isolation and improve mental wellbeing within local communities.

Sessions take place every Tuesday at 11am at the Burnt Oak Leisure Centre. There will be 16 sessions running until April.

If you have patients who you think would benefit, please invite them to sign up by scanning the QR code below or by visiting the Eventbrite page.

Expiry date: Saturday, 04 April 2026
