Moorfields at City Road: Allergic Conjunctivitis Advice

NCL Wide

Moorfields at City Road has seen a significant increase in patients with allergic symptoms being sent to A&E. Unfortunately, the hospital does not have the capacity to handle non-urgent conditions and cannot treat them as emergencies.

Moorfields has listed advice and the most commonly used topical drugs on the webpage patient guides allergic conjunctivitis and in a patient information leaflet.

Healthcare professionals are encouraged to prescribe these drugs for up to three months without referring the patient to the eye clinic. If patients need a review at the eye clinic, please refer them routinely to your local hospital eye service.

If you have any questions, please email moorfields.healthprofessionals@nhs.net
