Islington frailty services merge to deliver comprehensive geriatric assessments

Integrated Community Ageing Team (ICAT) and Proactive Ageing Well Service (PAWS) have merged to create an improved frailty service, delivering Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments (CGAs) in patients' homes. 

ICAT will accept frail patients aged 65. Younger frail patients can still be referred via the consultant hotline. The proactive work previously done by PAWS will continue, but under the ICAT name.

Please continue to refer patients with new frailty syndromes or concerns using the new ICAT referral form on EMIS. There is now also have the option of a referrals for proactive input: perfect for those who may still benefit from a CGA, but do not have any immediate issues and can wait longer for input.
