In September, details of support to help practices improve cancer screening participation for people with a learning disability was circulated. Please note, the email address for support with bowel screening was incorrect, the correct details are below.

Bowel and breast cancer screening services can now review your list of patients with learning disabilities before their annual health check. They will:

• identify patients who have missed screening
• advise on reasonable adjustments to support attendance
• help re-book appointments and re-order faecal immunochemical testing (FIT) kits.

Before completing your quarterly scheduled annual health checks, send your patient list to the screening contacts below for review so that missed appointments can be followed up at a patient’s next check.
