Clinisys ICE to replace radiology result systems from next quarter

NCL Wide

The way radiology results are delivered from NCL trusts to primary care services using the existing systems Keystone (for Royal Free London, North Middlesex University Hospital and Whittington Health) and LabComm (for University College London Hospitals) is changing. From next quarter, these systems will be replaced by Clinisys ICE as part of the NCL Order Communications and Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Project.

The new Clinisys ICE system can be configured to send reports from a specific trust radiology department or system to a particular GP practice.

However, before moving to the next phase of the project, the NCL IT & Systems team need to check that test radiology reports are being correctly delivered from trusts via ICE to GP practices.

Over the coming weeks, the NCL Order Communications project team will contact all affected GP practices to check that the test reports sent through ICE have been successfully delivered to your Electronic Patient Record. NCL IT & Systems would appreciate your help with carrying out these checks.

After testing, and before the new system goes live, primary care colleagues will be asked for their feedback. The IT & Systems team will send out more information about this in due course.

If you have any questions in the meantime, contact the NCL Digital Programme Team.
