SHIP Core Training for GPs

Sexual Health in Practice (SHIP) sessions are designed and taught by GPs and practice nurses who understand the complexities, challenges and pragmatic approach of general practice. The content is based on the latest available evidence and is tailored for the general practice setting.

SHIP training has been shown to change clinical practice and improve sexual health outcomes for patients, and these sessions will help GPs become more confident in performing sexual health risk assessments and making meaningful changes to clinical practice.

There are two sessions for GPs taking place at the following times:

  • Key Issues in Sexual Health (Friday 4 November, 1-5pm)
  • Blood Borne Virus Update (Friday 18 November, 1-5pm).

To fully utilise the learning opportunities of the course, participants should attend both sessions.

To book onto a session, email clinicallead@shiptraining.org.uk with you name, role, practice and any dietary or access requirements.
