SHIP Blood Borne Virus Update: Core Training for GPs, Practice Nurses and Physician Assistants (2/2)

Sexual Health in Practice (SHIP) training has been shown to change clinical practice and improve sexual health outcomes for patients. The sessions are designed and taught by GPs and practice nurses, who understand the complexities, challenges and pragmatic approach of general practice. The content is based on the latest available evidence and is tailored for the GP setting.

The SHIP team will help you become confident in sexual health risk assessment and make meaningful changes to your clinical practice.

This session will cover:

  • up-to-date evidence of national and local HIV and viral hepatitis trends
  • evidence of the advantages of diagnosing HIV and viral hepatitis in general practice
  • support for ‘normalising’ HIV and viral hepatitis testing in primary care.

Please see the attached adverts for more information.

Please note: This is the final session in a series. The other sessions will be taking place at the following times:

  • 1pm, Tuesday 12 April 2022 (practice nurses and physician assistants)
