Relevant to those involved in the assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of adults where there are safeguarding concerns.
The session assumes prior basic training and will provide an overview of abuse, neglect and relevant legislation.  The following areas will also be covered:  

• Multi-agency assessments and safeguarding enquiries
• Information sharing including best interests decisions and transference of risk
• Making Safeguarding Personal – a proportionate and person-centred approach to safeguarding
• Mental capacity and risk
• Contributing to, and learning from, statutory reviews

This training is suitable for GPs, GP trainees and Practice Nurses. Adult Safeguarding training needs to be undertaken at Level 3 annually. Limited sessions are being offered by the CCG Safeguarding team, please book early to avoid disappointment.
