Reflective Reading Club for NMC Revalidation

The RRC is aimed at all nurses and midwives employed through North Central London. NMC revalidation requires that each nurse/midwife must annually complete 35 hours of CPD, 20 of which must include participatory learning.

Two weeks before the session, a specifically chosen article will be emailed out to all participants and with it, an accompanying checklist of questions. This checklist will encourage staff to consider key points within the article and make notes before they arrive at the session. Please note, participants must have read the article in advance to attend.

This club constitutes three hours of CPD time and 1.5 hours of participatory learning in the Teams session, and 1.5 hours individual learning with the preparatory reading and note taking. Attendees can complete a maximum of two sessions which equals six hours of CPD.

In the session we will have a short introduction about reflective reading followed by a longer participatory discussion relating the article back to the NMC guidance Learning through engagement and communicating with others.

To book, please reserve a place by emailing Caroline and Magda at ncl.lib@nhs.net.
