The NCL medicine management teams are offering this education session to all NCL practices in order to provide details about and information on completing the upcoming medication waste audit under the 2023-24 Prescribing Quality Scheme (PQS).

The webinar will also include findings from last year’s audit (2022-23 PQS waste review), and will cover practical solutions to address common factors contributing to medication waste, including overprescribing and oversupply.

Participation is encouraged from all members of the GP practice team involved in the repeat prescribing processes. Attendance at this education event is a required component of the PQS and at least one prescriber should attend from each practice.

An alternative session will take place at 1pm on Wednesday 19 July. Only one of the sessions should be attended; the same content will be covered on both dates.
