Level 3 Adult Safeguarding Training: Recognising and Responding to Domestic Abuse

This three-hour in-person training programme will allow participants to define domestic abuse (both the incidence and prevalence), equipping them with the necessary skills to be able to identify the clinical signs and symptoms of domestic violence and abuse.

Participants will learn how to ask questions about domestic abuse for both survivors and perpetrators, assess levels of risk, respond appropriately and refer onwards.

The session will also cover the services available, possible safeguarding implications in adult and child safeguarding, how to record disclosures, high-risk cases, strategies to manage, and learning from domestic homicide reviews.

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion for three hours of Level 3 Adult Safeguarding for portfolios.
