Introduction to Clinical Supervision within Primary Care

NCL and Islington Training Hub recognise the changing workforce within primary care and increase in clinicians providing supervision to diverse clinical roles.

Recognising not all in these roles have supervisor experience or training. The NCL Education Faculty has developed a series of workshops to introduce ideas and concepts around effective clinical supervision.

This session explores:

  • key components of clinical supervision
  • how it can be effectively delivered by individuals/organisations
  • value of skills which support effective clinical supervision
  • barriers/enablers of effective clinical supervision and effective learning environments
  • opportunities to build links between clinical supervisors, share experiences and access peer support

This is the first of three sessions linked to supervision – details of the other two sessions can be found on the Supervision Support Programme page.
