Haringey’s Harm Reduction Conference 2023

The conference will give an overview of progress in developing practice in the areas of drug awareness, blood-borne viruses and health.

Speakers include:

  • Graham Parsons (Director of Pharmacy for Humankind, on opioid substitution treatment in the UK)
  • Jon Findlay (Harm Reduction Lead for Humankind, on chemsex, safer injecting practices and treatment)
  • Dr Indrajit Ghosh (Blood-Borne Virus Specialty Doctor, Central North West London & University College London Hospitals NHS Trust) on the journey to the E-Street Medic Trike.

There will also be presentations by Bringing Unity Back into the Community (BUBIC), Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust (BEHMHT), Hep C Trust, Orion Medical Supplies, and many others.

It is expected that this will be an excellent opportunity to share insights and network with others who are passionate about harm reduction. The session may also cover an evidence-based drug policy, improvements in community-based care and contributions from those with lived experience. There will also be an opportunity to take part in peer-led workshops, naloxone training sessions, and Q&A's with those working in the field.
