GP Nurse Update Course by Red Whale

The event will cover the latest changes in evidence and guidelines relevant to primary care. The presenter will host the event live from the Red Whale TV studio, run interactive polls and Q&A sessions and offer practical tools to help you change your practice straightaway.

The event will cover new NICE guidance on:

  • diabetes and all things gliflozin
  • CKD (how to interpret the bloods, diagnose, monitor and manage it)
  • lipids (interpreting blood tests and familial hypercholesterolaemia)
  • depression

Topical, tricky or controversial content including:

  • B12 levels and metformin
  • asthma (what does sustainable care look like?)
  • COPD update
  • liver disease (including handy resources for interpreting LFTs)
  • spotting and managing heart failure
  • PSA testing in symptomatic and asymptomatic men

This content will offer opportunities to build your skills in interpreting blood tests you commonly encounter in your roles. Additionally, on demand you will also be able to access content on interpreting thyroid function tests and interpreting the full blood count in the context of anaemia.
