Essential Skills for Chairing Patient Participation Groups

The PCARP Lunch and Learn are hosting a session on essential skills for chairing Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) and effective strategies for engaging local patient groups in your practice meetings.

The session will be led by two expert speakers: Litsa Worrall (Chair of the Enfield PPG Network) and Ian Beever (Trainer), with dedicated time for audience questions and discussion.

The session will cover the following topics:

  • How to engage underrepresented communities within your PPG and other patient feedback channels
  • The importance of ensuring your PPG membership reflects your patient population and strategies for engaging different community groups
  • Effective communication and engagement with diverse groups, and the benefits this brings to your practice and patient wellbeing
  • Managing discussions to ensure all participants are heard and treated equitably

The session will be recorded and made available.
