Continuum of Need Within Family Services and the Role of Early Help

Barnet Safeguarding Team presents: Continuum of Need within Family Services and the Role of Early Help.

The session will be delivered by Michaela Carlowe, Service Manager, East & Central Early Help Hub and supported by Andy Whiting, Early Years & Primary Service Manager, 0-19 Early Help Services.

The session will cover:

  • the Continuum of Need with some focus on thresholds, managing expectations and looking at how the early help (HE) strategy feeds into the safeguarding partnership work and safeguarding priorities for Barnet
  • a few case studies for group discussion regarding decision-making on MASH/EH referrals
  • some of the focus will be on unmet needs which have a health focus and the impact this may have on child wellbeing if not addressed at an earlier opportunity.

The speakers plan to use the whole session and hope for interactivity from those attending. There will be time for questions and answers throughout the session.

There is no need to book, simply join the session.

This is a Barnet event, but if other boroughs would like to join, you are welcome.
