Community of Practice for Nurses new to General Practice

Join NCL Training Hub PNA team's Community of Practice (COP) for nurses new to general practice to reflect, learn and grow with peers who understand the unique challenges of transitioning into general practice and enhance your skills and confidence as a general practice nurse.

The COP is open to any new nurse that has joined within the last 1-2 years, who would benefit from:

  • Peer support and opportunities to engage with Professional Nurse Advocates (PNA)
  • Can take on one-to-one sessions to discuss career progression
  • Clinical and wellbeing support

There are only seven sessions scheduled, running monthly from April to November (excluding August) on the first Wednesday of each month from 12.30-1.30pm via MS Teams and facilitated by the NCL Training Hub PNA.

The dates are as follows:

  • Wednesday 2 April
  • Wednesday 7 May
  • Wednesday 4 June
  • Wednesday 2 July
  • Wednesday 3 September
  • Wednesday 1 October
  • Wednesday 5 November

Each session will feature:

  • Engaging topics: Consultation technique and time management, system structures and opportunities, well-being and resilience, and reflection in clinical practice.
  • CPD recognition: each session counts towards CPD
  • Expert insights: benefit from speakers and facilitators sharing guidance tailored to your needs
