Cleaner Air, Healthier Lives Summit

This conference-style event features a range of expert speakers from clinical, academic, strategic and policy backgrounds, hosted by Great Ormond Street Hospital and Global Action Plan.

Attendees will gain a greater understanding of how air pollution is an important determinant of health and how it contributes to the societal health and social care burden.

This includes hearing ideas and recommendations for engaging positively with patients and service users about how the risk factors associated with air pollution can be mitigated through personal action, in many cases.

Topics covered:

  • how air pollution is an environmental determinant affecting health and wellbeing
  • how clinicians can help patients to better protect their health by reducing risk factors posed by air pollution
  • how NHS and partners can collaborate to replicate successes and share best practice
  • how the changing climate presents new challenges for public health and the treatment of poor health, and what we can do about it together.

In-person attendance is encouraged and there will be networking opportuntities. A MS Teams link will be circulated closer to the date. See the book now link for the agenda.
