Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership: Webinar session two

The Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership (BSCP) is inviting you to learning webinars where they will share crucial learning from Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (formally known as Serious Case Reviews) and national and local thematic safeguarding issues conducted over 2020/21.

The webinar will cover:

  • Learning from national serious case reviews focussed on teenage self-harm and suicide
  • Transitional Safeguarding – learning from a recent thematic deep dive will be shared covering key areas of practice learning aimed to support safer transitions of children and young people
  • National findings about serious and fatal cases of child maltreatment
  • Learning from health colleagues upon safeguarding children through religious practices.

There will be scope for attendees to work in groups and reflect on one’s own knowledge and practice and share their views and thoughts. We will invite you to complete a poll before the webinar asking you to reflect on your current knowledge of the topics, and you will be given a voluntary action plan to take away to enable you to consider how to embed your learning in your practice. The BSCP team will then be in touch in 6 months’ time to ask you to share with BSCP any examples of practice change, systems change or improved outcomes for children.

The workshops will be delivered by colleagues from across the Safeguarding Partnership. There is no need to book onto these sessions; just click on the Teams link on the day.
