SHIP Core Training for Practice Nurses and Physician Associates

SHIP (Sexual Health in Practice) training has been shown to change clinical practice and improve sexual health outcomes for patients. The sessions were designed and taught by GPs and practice nurses (PNs) who understand the complexities, challenges and pragmatic approach of general practice. The content is based on the latest available evidence.

These three sessions will help PNs and physician associates (PAs) become confident in sexual health risk assessment and make meaningful changes to their clinical practice.

They will cover:

  • STI update for PNs and PAs
  • Talking to patients about sex
  • Blood-borne virus update for primary care
