Cervical Cancer Prevention Training

Every day in the UK, nine women are diagnosed with and two women die from cervical cancer. Yet, cervical cancer is now largely preventable through cervical screening and the HPV vaccine.

The number of women attending cervical screening is declining, so Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust is running a series of education sessions to help change these statistics and reach the goal of eliminating cervical cancer in the UK.

The event will cover:

  • what cervical cancer is and how it is caused
  • warning signs and symptoms of cervical cancer
  • how cervical cancer can be prevented
  • the barriers women experience to attending screening.
