NHSE publishes final Infected Blood Inquiry report

NCL Wide

The final report of the Infected Blood Inquiry was published on Monday 20 May.

The inquiry examined the circumstances in which men, women and children treated by national health services were given infected blood and infected blood products, particularly since 1970.

NHS England asks that practices ensure their staff, namely reception and call-answering staff, are aware of the report and have access to the patient-facing messaging in this pack.

Clinical staff are requested to note that national communications will direct patients concerned about hepatitis B infection towards hepatitis B information, or to contact their GP or local sexual health clinic.
