GPs will be aware of the plan for North Central London to participate in the Multi-Cancer Blood Test Programme pilot. 

NHS England (NHSE) has now received and considered the data from the first year of the three-year NHS-Galleri trial, and has taken advice from a multi-disciplinary panel of experts in the field. From this, NHSE has decided to wait to see final results in 2026 before considering a large-scale pilot of the test.  

The pilot will not proceed at this time.
