Cardiology task and finish group launches improved referral form

NCL Wide

A new NCL-wide cardiology referral form for the Suspected Stable Angina Service, previously known as the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic is now available for practices to use.

Designed to be quick and easy to complete, the form follows the 2024 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines, helping GPs safely assess patients and reduce unnecessary referrals by using a simple ESC risk score to calculate the probability of obstructive coronary disease.

Located in NCL Global Documents under the cardiology folder:

  • NCL Global Documents > Cardiology > Suspected Stable Angina Form – NCL

Practices should review and familiarise themselves with the new form.
