This NCL Training Hub event provides an opportunity to acquire a comprehensive background on contraception and emergency contraception, as well as how to consult with patients about their sexual and reproductive healthcare needs.

During the event, you will learn how to: 

• Recommend an appropriate method of emergency contraception
• Assess when a patient is at risk of pregnancy
• Assess when a patient needs emergency contraception and what method can be recommended safely
• Review the COC, POP, and injection contraceptive methods
• Carry out sexual health risk assessments
• Identify when a patient is at risk of STIs, contraception, and sexual history.
