The Access Local Incentive Scheme (LIS) aims to meet the needs of patients who place high levels of demand on primary or secondary care or are frequent attenders at their practice.

The key outcomes we are seeking to derive from this investment are:

• Meeting the care needs of complex patients who require longer appointments and whose health outcomes would benefit from improved continuity of care.
• To ensure that all practices have an appointment management system that can effectively meet the range of needs of the population particularly same day demand.
