Islington Additional Needs and Disability Service (IANDS) supports children and young people with additional needs and disabilities to reach their full potential. This can mean being active in their community, developing friendships and enjoying an ordinary life the same way as other children. The service also provide parents with appropriate information, support and advice for them and their family. IANDS includes the following teams:

• Early Years Therapies
• Social Communication Team
• Mainstream Schools Therapies Team
• Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Team (including the Advanced Paediatric MSK Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service)
• Special Schools Health and Therapy Team
• Paediatric Dietetic Service

The teams are made up of various healthcare professionals including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, clinical psychologists, paediatricians, specialist nurses, family counselling, therapy assistants, health care assistants and specialist key workers. They work in partnership with Islington local authority across various locations including health centres, schools, nurseries, children’s centres and the Whittington hospital.
