The Royal Free Hospital phlebotomy service remains open for urgent tests and for patients who need to come in for regular tests such as medication monitoring.

Please note: This is no longer a walk-in service and appointments must be booked in advance.

Order a blood test (March 2022 update)

At the most recent NCL Pathology Board meeting, it was agreed that providers can return to GPs printing the request forms for all, with the exception of Whittington Health.

Booking an appointment

Patients can book an appointment online via the website booking form, AFTER the request form has been sent.

Patients without internet access can book by phone, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Appointments are reserved for patients who are not infectious with Covid-19.

For priority requests, please give the patient a paper tQuest blood test request form with “SAME DAY” printed on the form or to be validated with a stamp.

Informing patients about their visit

• patients must have a copy of their confirmation email/text to be able to enter the hospital
• see Downloads for an AccuRx template with a suggested text to send to patients
• please ask your patients to attend their phlebotomy appointment with a face covering
• patients should arrive no more than ten minutes before the booked time
• patients should not book or attend an appointment if they have symptoms of Covid-19.

Please note: Walk-in patients will not be attended to.
